MAHJ HOUSE BUZZ

Not kidding, it was one of the best events I’ve been to at the Winchester Country Club, socially. LOVED, LOVED, LOVED how we had assigned tables and the groups were mixed. Met some new folks, too, which was great! Great energy and tone with just the right amount of passing the mic around and level of content during the lesson. Having the presenters and the experienced players circulate around the room helping was fantastic. Food options were delicious and decorations terrific—completely on point! Kudos to you and others who put this great event together!

I honestly did not know what to expect at the recent Mah Jongg event, but once I got there, I was so happy I went. The energy in the room and the social aspect of learning this difficult game was truly amazing and uplifting. I loved it. From the Mah Jongg themed food to beautifully colored tables, it was an 11 out of 10 night. I was truly grateful to be there.

The Mah Jongg ladies did an incredible job creating a comfortable environment for beginners to learn the basics of this confusing game and then try out their new skills. I arrived, nervous to try this game, and right away the group made me feel welcome and relaxed. They shared a presentation that was divided into digestible sections and designed to make things easy and understandable.  They gave us a card, some fun reminders, and set us up in groups to try our first hand. As we muddled through, each leader circulated to answer questions, make suggestions, and encourage us to keep trying. It was a great night and I can’t wait to play again!

This Mah Jongg event was such a fun night! I am so impressed by how much I learned - I have heard how complicated this game is, but the Mahj Mavens made it approachable and fun! I am excited to keep practicing. On top of that, it was such a fun night. I caught up with people I hadn’t seen in years, met new people, and I really loved the multi-generational group. I can’t wait to play again!

The Mah Jongg event at Winchester Country Club was absolutely wonderful! It struck the perfect balance between socializing, meeting new people, and learning the fundamentals of Mah Jongg. The ladies leading the event were incredibly kind and patient. I left not only with a solid understanding of the game, but also with a few new friends!
